Jin Woo isn't only the most powerful character in the manhwa but in-game, too. However, if you aren't using proper gear, his performance can be pretty mid. So, to help you get on the right track, we prepared a Solo Leveling: ARISE Sung Jin Woo weapons tier list. Check it out below.
Tier Explanations
SS-Tier: Most broken weapons for Sung Jin Woo. You should focus on getting at least one of these early on, and your end goal is to have all of them maxed out. They will carry you through most, if not all, in-game content.
S-Tier: Strong weapons that, in some situations, might even be better options than SS-tier ones. However, they are either less versatile or are just straight-up worse when it comes to their playstyle and passives.
A-Tier: These weapons are solid for the early game or against specific bosses. Also, some of them simply stat-check all of the weapons in the tiers below. So, even if they might have worse passives/utility, their raw damage will compensate for that.
B-Tier: Below-average weapons that don't offer anything spectacular but are still fine picks during the early game. They are easy to get and upgrade, and their passives aren't that horrendous.
C-Tier: Barely better than the D-tier weapons, and you should look to replace them as soon as possible. Some have passives that you can play around but considering that all of the weapons above have better ones, they simply aren't worth it.
D-Tier: Useless weapons that can't compete with anything above. You can use them during the first few chapters, but after that, any SR weapon will simply be better. Fodder them and don't waste resources upgrading them.
Tier List
SS Tier
Demonic Plum Flower Sword
The Demonic Plum Flower Sword has been and is still the strongest weapon for Sung Jin Woo in Solo Leveling: ARISE. The crit chance and crit damage stacking you get are invaluable, as there aren't that many sources of flat increases for those two in the game. Plus, you don't even need to rush advancing it, as its most important effects are applied by default.
Moonshadow
Moonshadow is the perfect weapon to pair with the Demonic Plum Flower Sword or the Shadow Scythe. Both benefit from its dark damage buffs, and you just need to pop its skill and go back to your main weapon. However, you really want to advance it at least once, as its advancement 1 passive is a huge buff.
Shadow Scythe
The Shadow Scythe is probably the second-best main weapon, together with the Plum Sword. It has a bit less damage, but it provides self-sustain. However, if you have a healer hunter, you might not need that.
The Huntsman
If you want The Huntsman to really shine, you'll need it to be maxed out. That won't be easy, especially if you are a F2P player. Still, even when not advanced, it's the best break weapon in the game right now.
Thetis' Grimoire
The Theti's Grimoire isn't OP because of its damage but because of its utility. The freeze/interrupt is simply broken, and using it at the right moment can help you dish out massive bursts and avoid the boss's most powerful attacks.
West Wind
West Wind is by far the best SR weapon for Sung Jin Woo in Solo Leveling: ARISE. However, you'll have to have excellent positioning to utilize its full potential. Also, its advancement buffs are amazing, and having them is what will make this gun really OP.
S Tier
Burning Demon's Grimoire
The Burning Demon's Grimoire greatly complements the Orb of Avarice. It has amazing AoE damage, which makes it excellent for game modes where you fight more than just the boss. However, its single-target DPS is fairly lackluster.
Demon King's Longsword
The Demon King's Longsword is more of a defensive than an offensive weapon, and since tanking is not really what you want Sung Jin Woo to be doing, we had to relegate it to S-tier. Still, if you already feel like you have enough DPS on your squad, go for it.
Orb of Avarice
Because it's an SR, it's relatively easy to upgrade, and it deals massive damage. Plus, it works exceptionally well with another SR weapon, the Burning Demon's Grimoire. Both get you mana regen, allowing you to spam skills the whole game.
Radiru Family's Longbow
It takes some time to ramp up, but still, the Radiru Family Longbow's DPS is insane, considering it's an SR weapon. Moreover, you don't need more than one dupe to have it work. It's one of the two best SR weapons for Sung Jin Woo on this tier list, together with West Wind.
A Tier
Demon Knight's Spear
I like the active of the Demon Knight's Spear a lot, but its damage isn't that great. Casting it four times does the same as one cast of West Wind, and the passives are much worse. Still, it's pretty okay straight out of the box.
Kasaka's Venom Fang
The anti-heal and the bleed on Kasaka's Venom Fang make it a great utility weapon for Sung Jin Woo, but I can't rank it higher than A-tier since the release of Cha Hae In made anti-heal redundant. If you don't have her, though, do use it against bosses that have heal mechanics.
Lustrous Dragon Sword
When you're reading through its skills, you're thinking, wow, this weapon is so great, and it is, when fully advanced, that is. By the time you do that, you'll probably have some of the S and SS-tier weapons, at which point you might not even need it anymore.
Vulcan's Rage
Vulcan's Rage is the worst SSR weapon for Sung Jin Woo in Solo Leveling: ARISE, and by a mile. Seeing its passive's text will lead you to believe that it has great damage, but it doesn't. Its attacks are slow, and there is no world in which you'd use it over West Wind, for example. Still, as a stat stick, it has some use.
B Tier
Baruka's Dagger
I play assassins in almost every game, and Baruka's Dagger fits that playstyle perfectly. However, with how most bosses move in this game, leaving you no opportunity for back attacks, its performance is really underwhelming.
Black Hawk
I like the Black Hawk's gimmick a lot, but from what I've seen, most players aren't that great with dodging, and this gun relies on that. If you have one, definitely give it a go and see how it works for you.
Knight Killer
Knight Killer is a great secondary weapon to boost your main weapons' damage. It gets you armor pen and even shields when you get it to three stars. However, it's really bad as a main weapon for Sung Jin Woo; hence, its low ranking on the tier list.
Naga Guardian Dragon's Trident
The Naga Trident is excellent if you need short-range AoE damage. However, Theti's Grimoire and even the Demon's Grimoire do that so much better. I can't see why would someone use it if they already have one of the above two.
C Tier
Arachnid's Hand Crossbow
Similarly to Kasaka's Venom Fang, this hand crossbow is good for enemies that have heals. However, Cha Hae In's existence removes its only purpose. Still, better than most garbage D-tier weapons.
Dragonscale Broadsword
The Dragonscale Broadsword's abilities look cool on paper, but in reality, it's really bad. Use it as a stat stick (secondary weapon) until you get something better.
Frostbite Falchion
Slightly bit better than the broadsword, but still garbage. However, it has some value because of its SR stats.
Lycan Slayer
The Lycan Slayer is probably the best R weapon for Sung Jin Woo right now, but because of its stats, I couldn't rank it higher on this tier list. Use it until you get an SR to at least one star.
Orc's Broadsword
Basically the same as the broadsword, though this one gets you shields instead of damage buffs. It's a stat stick, really. So, use it as a secondary weapon for Sung Jin Woo and try to get a primary that's higher on the tier list.
Rock Golem Hammer
The worst SR weapon in the game, and it ain't even close. Its skills are garbage, its passives are garbage, its damage is garbage... The only thing it has going for it is that you can salvage it for more mats than an R weapon.
D Tier
Grave Keeper's Scythe
The Grave Keeper's Scythe relies on you fighting multiple enemies, which isn't always the case. You can make it somewhat useful during the early game, though.
Ice Elf's Bow
The interrupt is nice, but it doesn't last long, and the damage is borderline zero. Together with the Razan's Blade, it has to be one of the weakest weapons for Sung Jin Woo on this tier list. So, just salvage it.
Kim Sangshik's Sword
The Kim Sangshik's Sword isn't entirely bad, but the Lycan Slayer is plain better IMO. Salvage it.
Knight's Sword
It's flat damage, and defense passive bonuses are only really useful during the very early game. You can use it during that time but try to replace it as soon as possible.
Lizard Glaive
The Lizard Glaive is basically the Demon Knight's Spear you bought off Wish. You can spam the active a bit, but it's RNG. Plus, it's an R weapon, so its stats aren't great, either.
Razan's Blade
I understand that R weapons can't be too strong, but Razan's Blade gives weak a new definition. The burn ticks too slowly, making it feel as if you have no passives on it at all. Of all the weapons for Sung Jin Woo on this tier list, this one is probably the weakest.
Sandstorm Cube
The smokescreen looks good on paper, but it's really underwhelming in combat. Just salvage it.
